Holiday Blues

With the holidays sometimes it can get discouraging because our bodies are not where we envision them to be.  However it is a wonderful time to start anew and begin a new workout regimen. If you are already in a regimen then try a new workout to liven and interest yourself again.
I myself will begin Cize by Beachbody.  I can't wait to try it.  It combines dancing and workout together.  It looks like it is a ton of fun!  I have completed the squat challenge and may even redo it because beach weather is right around the corner and I want my legs and butt to look good in my bathing suit.

30 Day Challenge

Become motivated with encouraging yourself and believing you can!  Start with something small and increase as you go along.  One great way to feel confident and successful is by challenging yourself to a 30 day challenge.  If 30 days is too much too handle, then start with a 10 day challenge.  The important thing is that you are taking a step into a healthy direction.  I bet that after that 10 day challenge you will pursue it more because your body will begin to feel amazing.  You will begin to feel energized and healthy!

I am taking a break from Piyo  to do a 30 day challenge.  I decided to pause Piyo to challenge myself to trying something different.  I don't imagine I will stop Piyo because I do enjoy it very much.  I wanted to try a challenge because the holidays are approaching as we all know and many times it can be challenging to balance workouts with life.  It is important to remember to change things up to work with your schedule and how you are feeling.

30 Day Challenge
Start with Day 1            20 Jumping Jacks, 10 Sit ups, 10 squats, 5 push ups
Day 2                            20 High kicks, 10 second planks, 10 lunges, 5 push up

Alternate day 1 and 2 with a rest every 3 day.  After rest period increase kicks and Jacks by 5, sit ups, squats, lunges & planks by 2,  and push ups by 1

Fall weather

Currently it's fall and we all start to have the same attitude sweaters and baggy clothes hide everything.  However now is the perfect time to especially get healthy and also shed some pounds so that bikini fits extra special this upcoming summer.  Wouldn't it be nice to shed pounds and know you could rock that little black dress if you wanted too.

and your skinny jeans are not so thin

The holiday season is just around the corner and before we know it the little black dresses will be worn. Just imagine you can also make money while looking your absolute best.

PIYO

It's PIYO time!

So currently I am working out to PIYO which is a Beachbody program by Charlene Johnson! It combines Pilates and Yoga workouts in one program.  It is an amazing program.  I love it!

Now for those people who are frowning or shaking their head, all I ask is that you don't knock it til you try it.  It combines the perfect mix of Pilates and Yoga to strengthen your muscles and tone them.  It seems like at first like it will be an easy workout however it quickly kicks your butt by using your own body against you.  I am in my second round of PIYO. The first round I worked on losing weight this round I am working on strengthening my body. 

At first I didn't think that I was losing weight however I quickly realized that I was losing inches and toning my body. It has 16 different workouts and comes with a workout plan and in addition an eating plan to help you lose weight.  The eating plan guides you to make better decisions however it is a lot of food and you get to decide how you are going to eat it. 

The most wonderful thing about it, is you get to do the program at home when it is convenient for you! In addition there are no additional costs. Once you own it, you own it for life.  Although I would definitely recommend Shakeology for that nutritional boost for your body!

Shakeology

I can not say enough about Shakeology!   Although I will admit I was very hesitant to try it for many reasons.  Mostly because I had tried protein shakes before and they all tasted chalky.  However I trusted my friend and was trying to help her be successful as a Beachbody Coach so I tried it

It was really good.  I was then challenged to try it for a month and if I didn't get any results I wouldn't lose anything.  I did try it for a month and replaced breakfast.  I lost 6 pounds without doing any exercise other than a lot of dog walking.  I returned and talked to my friend again.  I immediately became a Beachbody member and signed up for Shakeology to be delivered to my house. 

Since trying Shakeology, I no longer suffer from migraines, and feel very rested.  I have more energy than I ever had before all while I am losing weight.  There is a ton of research online that is lowers cholesterol, high blood pressure and reduces damage done to our bodies. 

Of course, I continue to drink my Shakeology every morning however I have added a workout routine from Beachbody along with it!

Welcome to Beachbody fitness

Awhile ago I was unhappy with the way things were going.  I decided to make a change.  I friend of mine decided to challenge me to a plank challenge to try BeachBody.  I agreed. I completed the challenge and felt great.  I wanted to be involved and also to be active.  I signed on for the 21 day fix challenge which was amazing.  I was able to lose weight and also feel great. I began to drink Shakeology which I can not say enough about.  After going to an annual dr's appointment, I lost 10 pounds and my cholesterol and sugar levels were amazing.  I signed up for the PiYo challenge.  I am determined to not only become a better me but also a better spokesperson.
